Art from the heart- Every Wednesday

The counsellors at East West Center for Counselling and Training have seen an increase in people dealing with anxiety, frustration, loneliness, panic, grief and despair over the last year since the lock down in March 2020. We have responded by doing several groups and individual sessions during this crisis, especially for the vulnerable population in the community. Continuing in our effort, we are resuming a free weekly arts therapy session to help you get over the present situation of COVID-19. For those who have received our services in the past, currently working with us and those in need of our services please reach out to us.

This is a safe space to express yourselves through the medium of art. Expressive Arts Therapy is the practice of using storytelling, singing, instrumental music, movement and dance, drama, and visual arts, all together; in an integrated way, to foster human growth, development, and healing. Expressive Arts Therapy is a gentle non-judgmental approach, enabling the client to become aware of what is happening in his/her unconscious. It enhances self-awareness and facilitates change, including the relation to personal growth and community development. Expressive Arts Therapy can be practiced with individuals, couples, families, and group.
