Introduction to Expressive Art Therapy, Psychodrama, Group therapy and Sociodrama

Bringing Mental Health Learning Alive
Guest Lectures & Demonstration Sessions
We are from Indian Institute of Psychodrama and East West Center for Counselling and Training, institutions committed to experiential learning in mental health education.
We offer guest lectures and live demonstration sessions, designed to bridge the gap between theory and practice and help students experience therapeutic processes in action.
Session Topics
Our sessions introduce students to powerful, action-based approaches widely used in mental health settings, with four potential topics:
Expressive Arts Therapy
Using art, movement, and creativity to support emotional expression, reflection, and healing.
Psychodrama
Experiential, role-based methods that help explore inner worlds, relationships, and personal narratives.
Group Therapy
Understanding group dynamics, therapeutic factors, and the art of group facilitation.
Sociodrama
Exploring social roles, systems, and collective issues through action-based learning.
What Students Experience
- Witness therapeutic processes in action
- Deepen their understanding of mental health interventions
- Engage with approaches beyond conventional classroom teaching
- Develop self-awareness and clinical sensitivity
Sessions can be tailored as introductory lectures, experiential demonstrations, or combined formats.
These guest lectures and demonstration sessions are specially designed for Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) Final Year students
